About Thailand / Bangkok

Welcome to Thailand

Thailand, often known as the Land of Smiles, is located in the heart of mainland Southeast Asia. With a population of over 70 million people, the country is one of the region’s most important commercial, industrial, and tourism destinations. World Bank data lists Thailand’s population at around 70.7 million and GDP at USD 526.52 billion in 2024.

Thailand is divided into four main regions: the mountainous North, the Central Plains, the Northeast plateau, and the Southern peninsula, known for its coastlines and islands. The country has a tropical climate, with warm and humid weather throughout the year. Thailand generally experiences three main seasons: hot, rainy, and cooler dry periods.

As one of Southeast Asia’s key industrial and trade centres, Thailand offers strong regional connectivity and access to ASEAN markets. Its economy is supported by manufacturing, exports, services, tourism, infrastructure development, and growing industrial investment, making it a strategic location for business events and industry networking.

Bangkok: A Dynamic Regional Hub

Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, brings together modern infrastructure, international connectivity, cultural heritage, and a vibrant business environment.

As a major gateway to Southeast Asia, Bangkok is well-positioned for regional and international visitors. The city is supported by extensive transport connections, a wide range of hotels, established MICE facilities, and strong links to Thailand’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Thai is the official language of Thailand, while English is widely used in key business, tourism, and event areas, especially in Bangkok.
