After being held in countries including Germany, China, America and Mexico for over 30 years, in 2023, Valve World travelled to Singapore! With strong attendance from many countries in the ASEAN region, the first Valve World Southeast Expo & Conference held on October 26-27 at Singapore Expo, made a successful debut in this flourishing market.
The expo floor, which featured almost 140 top companies, was a hive of activity. Sponsored by Neway Valve, Bray International, FR Valve, Imperial Royal Group, L&T Valves, Rotork, Viza Valves, and YDF Valves, the first edition of this event brought together an audience of over 2,000 flow control and valve subject matter experts, distributors, manufacturers, EPCs and end users from around 40 countries. Visitors travelled from as far away as United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Argentina, France, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Algeria, China, Chile, Australia, United States of America, South Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Saudi Arabia, India, Italy, Bangladesh, Afghanistan as well as neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei Darussalam and Philippines. The event offered a unique platform where companies and individuals could present the latest developments and best practices and connect with experts and peers to gain and improve knowledge. It was an opportunity for attendees to further develop an understanding of specialist equipment and working conditions and to introduce new and potential clients, products and projects in the valve and flow control industries!
The strong steering committee team made up of experts from PETRONAS, ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical, McDermott International, PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam, Dorf Ketal Chemical, JGC Corporation, Fluor, Saudi Aramco, Chemours, etc. laid a solid foundation for the success of the first Valve World Southeast Asia Conference. Four major discussion panels were held on the topics of IOGP Updates, Meeting and Mitigating Challenges of Fugitive Emissions, Challenges Faced in Cryogenic Valves for LNG Applications, and Maintenance & Repair—End User‘s Pain Points.
Four themed workshops tackled topics including Valve Selection & Application, Sealing Technology, Materials, and Digitalization, while an Open Session on ‘Golden Opportunities and Investments in the Promising Indonesian Market’ all received highly positive feedback from attendees.
Around 200 delegates participated in the discussions over the two days of the conference. Many representatives of end user companies shared with us that they came with a mission – looking for new solutions. The trip proved worthwhile!
Hailed as a resounding success, Valve World Southeast Asia show is set to expand further in 2025. The organizers have already announced that the next event will be hosted in a larger venue.
